TRANFORMING LIVES OF UNDERPRIVILEGED, VULNERABLE TEENAGE GIRLS

INVESTING IN TEENAGE GIRLS BY:

  • STRENGTHENING THIER RELATIONSHIP WITH GOD

  • GIVING ENCOURAGEMENT AND COACHING

  • PROVIDING MENTORS FOR SPIRITUAL PURITY AND LIFE SKILLS

Many young destitute girls are working the nights as prostitutes or sold into “marriage” at ages as young as 12 & 13. Impoverished teenage girls are being rescued, loved, and mentored in the ways of Jesus through this ministry. Their stories are more than just touching, they are miraculous.

RACHEL MWANGI

Rachel is a wife, mother of 2 children and had a successful career in corporate Kenya. With Rachel's husband's love and support, she recently resigned her corporate job to devote herself full time to this life-giving ministry. Rachel and other Christian women are investing in these young girls. Together they are helping move young girls out of some of the darkest areas of poverty and slums into Christ-centered relationships and families.

Teaching team includes Christin Counselors, Drug and Alcohol Counselors, Engineers and Pastors. After completion of these classes - the girls and "She Is Fierce" leadership team celebrate with a Retreat, a commitment to sexual purity, and a graduation. The graduates have the opportunity to invite a mentor into their lives in an ongoing relationship.

MUKURU KWA NJENGA SLUM - FEBRUARY 2017

Janice, Jacquelyn and Rachel visit the teenage girls at the Utu Wema School located in one of the Nairobi Slums. The girls took turns telling us about their dream of who they want to be when they grow up: doctors, nurses, teachers, and journalists were some of their answers. Rachel visits these girls weekly and provides dignity packets for those that have started their menstrual cycle. most of these girls or their family can not afford to buy these supplies. So when they have their cycle, they will stay home and miss school each month. With the love of Jesus, Rachel is reaching out to encourage these girls.

We had the opportunity to visit a couple of the girls in Mukuru Kwa Njenga Slum with Rachel and a team. Mukuru Kwa Njenga Slum is one of the largest slums in Kenya on the east side of the capital city, Nairobi. The Fierce ministry is reaching out to young girls in the slum like Peninah (in the center of the photo) with the hope and love of Jesus.
